Optus Summer of Selfies
Optus recently signed a multimillion-dollar sponsorship deal with Cricket Australia to be its streaming partner. An opportunity came up to shoot members of the Australian national cricket team, so we jumped at the chance, writing and producing four TV spots in under a week.
To extend the idea further, we took the ‘Selfie Bat’ concept and turned it into an in-stadium activation. The idea was to create the world’s most epic selfie by using a gigapixel camera at every game that took a shot of the entire stadium. Following the match, people could visit our website, find and tag themselves and then share on social media.
